Having traveled through all 47 prefectures,
Now decided to visit every single one of Japan's 1,741 municipalities.
to come to know more deeply,
to touch a greater wealth of culture,
to witness a wider expanse of landscapes,
of “Japan”
Further, to preserve these scenes and culture for the future through storytelling.
Driven by these feelings,
experiencing plenty of wonders along the way,
I aim to visit all 1,741 municipalities,
this journey takes me into an even finer, more detailed fabric of Japan.
– The Heart Behind “Jichi-Colle” –
Collecting municipalities so that the culture and scenes of Japan may live on. Taking inspiration from a journey around Japan, the Japanese archipelago is arranged in a circle, and as achievements accumulate, contour lines are drawn—with the number 1,741, representing the total count of municipalities, engraved at the very summit.
The road to visiting all 1,741 is still long and far.
I will gently and steadily add to my collection.
